Our principles
Our work is based on the following principles and guidelines:
Protection and respect
Protection and respect are the indispensable basis for our work with children. Our code of conduct for employees, board members, members and volunteers and our child protection guidelines reflect the priority of children's rights in our work. In addition, we adhere to the Cambodian guidelines, which set requirements for nutrition, health, education and the promotion of children's social and emotional development.
Guidelines
The child protection guidelines also describe how children's understanding of economic relationships and their ability to secure their own livelihood can be strengthened. The Ministry of Social Affairs regularly reviews compliance with the guidelines twice a year, and KKEV has always been certified as fully compliant.

Sustainability
All of our activities are designed to have a lasting effect. The aim is to make the children and their guardians independent of donations and to realise projects together with them. We believe that (re)building functioning communities is one of the most sustainable forms of development aid.
