Financing and budget
The maintenance of the children's village and the street children's programme is covered every year by
-
membership fees,
-
donations,
-
sponsorships
-
public funding and
-
the EUC's fundraising activities.
The annual budget covers the children's school support and vocational training.
How are donations used?
KKEV Cambodia's annual budget covers the children's kindergarten and school years, including the necessary academic support, as well as the teaching of practical skills as part of various training programmes. The vocational training courses, which last from three to 24 months and are provided by organisations such as Don Bosco or the Khmer-Thai Skills Development Institute, are subject to a fee. The costs for university studies for students who have very good grades and the ability to study cannot be covered by the budget and require separate financing.
Clear governance, regular audits, unpaid commitment of the board members in Germany and Switzerland and a strict focus on cost management ensure that more than 95% of donations go to the children.
